    has anybody fished any of the" dee anglers " stretches around holt , farndon,and is-y-coed areas lately , I,m fancying havin a go at the barbel as I,ve only ever caught them in stillwater before , and coz I,m a member of Llay AA I can fish the dee anglers stretches , the only part of their waters that I,ve fished is sutton green years ago when Llay had it themselves but that was well b4 there were any barbel in the dee ,
    It,s a small world but I would,nt wanna have to paint it!!!

    hiya mal, fished them on the first day of the season, lot of the pegs looked like they,d been well used over the closed season. only caught roach but have heard since that our continental cousins have hammered the barbel over the closed season! check which stretches you can fish before you go as they,ve lost some water to prince albert. hope this helps even though theres not a lot of good news there.
