To be honest there are plenty of good quality hooks out there. I like using kamasan. They last ages and the thinner gaugue ones are great for snaggy ground cos they do give a little.

Yes Sakuma are an excellent hook but im not so sure they are worth the money.

One make I've been using lately is Partridge. Just as good as Sakuma but not as pricy.

    Hope this helps

depends what your trying to catch. over the last few years ive gone smaller hooks with smaller baits and i find im catching more. i use sakuma match stingers which you can only get in size 1. 2. 1/o. and buy direct of the sakuma web site.

the flip side is hat there are some rubbish hooks out there as well..i bought some from a well known economy brand...junk..they couldnt keep a point and were far to brittle...i would suggest buying a small pack first then bulk buying later if you like them. My current favorite is the varivas saltwater champion. lovely strong but bendy hook
fishing for the future catch and release

    Default re hooks

Sakuma's are great, Kamasans too. Partridge used to be very expensive..still are I think. The ones that Veals do are good, but I can't recall the name.... I but Sakuma's from their website, cheaper than anywhere else too.
